European Redwood
European Redwood is a softwood often referred to as pine. It is naturally creamy white or yellowish in colour prior to any treatment.
It is an extremely versatile timber most suited to internal joinery as it is less durable than some of the other wood we work with. It can be prone to more knots than other woods, which is influenced by growing conditions, so when selecting timber to use in our workshop we look out for the higher quality boards.
Our customers most frequently request this wood to be used for windows and door frames if cost is a consideration, although the cills would be manufactured with a hardwood.
