Tulipwood (Poplar)
Tulipwood is known as Poplar in the States although it is not related to that species and is much denser, stronger and harder.
Although a lighter hardwood, it is very strong and its versatility lends itself to many uses. Most commonly used for internal joinery such as furniture and kitchen cabinets, it can be used for external joinery if treated and protected with appropriate products, although it's often considered not durable enough.
Our most common requests for Tulipwood products are for internal doors.
