Iroko
Iroko is a popular choice of hardwood for all types of furniture, flooring and internal joinery. Its qualities are similar to those of Teak in that it is tough and dense, which makes it also suitable for external joinery due to its durability but it is often a more economical alternative than genuine Teak.
Naturally a yellow wood, it darkens over time. The most popular products we manufacture in Iroko are external staircases, gates and garden furniture as its timber contains a natural oil so it is best stained rather than painted to seal and preserve the oil.
